SAT 3/13: BIG GIGANTIC / Sonkin / Beem & Deam
Boulder, Colorado’s Big Gigantic have been killing the live electronic music scene as of late. In the past few months, Big Gigantic went from playing club gigs around Colorado to touring nationally across the country. Most recent notables include Relix Magazine’s ‘Band on The Verge’, supporting the Disco Biscuits in NYC at The Nokia Theatre and STS9 at the Wells Fargo Theatre. Additionally, band leader Dominic Lalli recently made a guest appearance with STS9, sitting in with them on three songs over their late December dates.
Big Gigantic is the latest project from Dominic Lalli (Motet saxophonist/producer) and drummer Jeremy Salken.
The two-man sound-machine of Lalli and Salken showcases an array of gripping compositions by combining elements of a DJ and live band setup while mixing thoughtful melodic ideas with pulsating dance tunes. Big Gigantic flavors the electronic music scene with powerful sax solos and soulful synth lines on top of super hot beats.
