About Southpaw
Since 2002, Southpaw has been a touchstone for Brooklyn’s vibrant and constantly evolving music scene. Hosting a wide range of rock and roll, soul, punk , country, hip hop, funk and jazz artists from all over the world…as well as some of the most accomplished comedians and literary stalwarts of our time, Southpaw has provided some of the best and most diverse music and entertainment that the borough has seen in the last ten years. Southpaw was created, designed and is owned by folks who grew up in Brooklyn. Their love of music, the performing arts, and the neighborhood the club inhabits is evident as soon as you walk in the door. The walls are filled with old show posters and album covers, and a huge site-specific collage behind the bar give the place a uniquely homegrown feel.
